Whether you call it botton up or botton down shirt, I love them!! I mean I used to wear them like everyday (oversized of course).
I remember when I was in Uni (cheesy, I know) this was my signature look. Although, my style has kind of changed over the years (I’ll definitely be talking about that soon) I still have a thing for shirts with plenty bottons.
Some of you might think botton down shirts are too serious so in today’s post I’ll be sharing with you 5 steps to dressing them down.
The 5 steps are below
- ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVES
Yes literally roll up your sleeves, it immediately relaxes the whole look. I like to roll mine three quarter of the way, but you can always do it however you want.
- PAIR WITH JEANS
Most preferably a mom jeans, remember this jeans from this post? Well kind of multipurpose *grins*. You will always get a good wear out of denims trust me, try to invest in them.
- GO FOR A GOOD O’ SNEAKER
What says I’m relaxed better than a pair of sneaker?? For me, sneakers are very comfortable over heels or flat shoes.
- GET YOURSELF A TOTE BAG
This gingham is from @wovenlemon. I like how totes are super easy to throw on and just keep it moving.
You should relax. Just chill and breathe, just because you have a shirt with a thousand buttons on does mean you need to look too “serious”.
- BONUS STEP; BE CONFIDENT
Not just for botton down shirt, whatever you wear sis wear it with confidence because you’re the only you and you’re fine AF.
