Today I’ll be sharing with you 3 things I regret buying. When I started blogging over a year ago I bought a number of things I ended up regretting and I learnt some lessons that I also will be sharing with you.
Below are the 3 things I regret buying and the lesson learnt from each purchase.
- POINTED TOES SHOES
If you’ve been with me for a while, you’ll remember these shoes, I did a “new in” post telling you all how much I love the shoes. Well it turns out that they are too tight, they fit quite alright ( check out pictures from previous post to see) but some minutes after I wear them I feel like the blood flow in my feet have been cut off! I have only worn them like twice (of which I had to take them off few minutes later)
Lesson Learnt- Never buy shoes exactly your size, always go a size up especially if you have huge feet like mine. You do not want your blood circulation cut off!!
- CAT EYED FRAMES
I honestly got this due to social media pressure *covers face* everybody on Instagram had them at the time. I wanted to join the “cool kids”. It didn’t take long before I realized they weren’t for me and just like the shoes, they are too small. On the bright side I use it as a prop for flay-lays (so, not exactly a complete waste of money)
Lesson Learnt- Not everything you buy will “expand” eventually and fit properly, that’s just what the vendor tells you to make you buy it.
- FEATHERY THINGY
Please someone should comment the actual name of this.
When I started blogging I wanted to try everything! “All bloggers do DIYs” I thought, so I bought this feathery thingy so I could use them for a DIY post. I quickly realized that I’m too lazy for DIYs and this feathery thing I bought would not work because the feathers keeps falling off.
Lesson Learnt- Whenever you buy anything, give it a short “trial on” there and then not when you get home
- Bonus item
I had a big chop in July 2014 and I was overly excited to try products, as broke as I was (and still quite is *teary eyed*) I still managed to buy some junks and here is one of them. I got this unbranded item, I didn’t know what it was and still don’t know what it is after about 3 years of owning it. I bought it because the vendor said it is like the Dark and Lovely Corrective Leave-in conditioner. Dear readers, it is Not!! it does the entire opposite of a leave-in.
I’ve grown now, I know better than to just buy anything anyhow (cheasy line, I know)
Thanks for reading, I hope this post has helped you in someway.
Till the next post.
